Reduce image size without guessing

Start with WebP or JPG at 70–80% quality. Limiting the maximum width often saves more space than lowering quality alone, especially for camera photos.

PNG compression through a browser canvas may not be as strong as JPG or WebP. Choose WebP when transparency is not required.
